Confidence in one’s beliefs and goals without the support of the majority can make or break a man. It takes everything to stand alone and nothing to join the crowd. Understanding one’s beliefs and ideologies is one sure step in being able to face the scrutiny of the majority. If you believe in yourself, nothing can stop you from being happy.

While I do adore optimists and always seek to be as optimistic as possible, I have to agree that sometimes it can be a bit much. Does forced optimism really imply success? Have we just created a socialistic view of optimism?
